Carboxytherapy is used in the treatment of cellulite, stretch marks and scars, it can also be used to improve skin elasticity, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can improve circulation as well as destroying fatty deposits.
What is Carboxytherapy: Carboxytherapy refers to the subcutaneous (under skin) administration of carbon dioxide gas (co2) for a therapeutic purpose.
How it works: When red blood cells come in contact to very high concentrations of co2, they transform themselves and begin to release oxygen molecules to that area, then the red blood cells finish there job and pick up the remaining co2 so that it may be exhaled. So by injecting trace amounts of co2 just below the skin we are in a sense tricking the body into increasing the blood circulation to that area. |
